McMenamin and Campbell fire United past Castlemount

Chris McMenamin and Peter Campbell scored in the first half as Ballymore United held on for a 2-1 win over Castlemount at Millbrook Park.

McMenamin opened the scoring after 18 minutes, turning sharply in the box and finishing low into the far corner. Campbell doubled the lead before the break with a fine strike from the edge of the area.

Castlemount pulled one back midway through the second half, but United saw the game out to make it four wins from their last five.

Manager's view

We were excellent in the first half. We had to dig in after their goal, and the supporters played their part.

United are back at home on Saturday. Tickets are on sale now from the club shop and online.
